Kimberly Straub developed a passion for myths and the macabre at an early age, finding comfort in films and television series like Gremlins and Ahh! Real Monsters. One Scholastic book fair later, after purchasing a children’s retelling of the Odyssey, she realized there were even more monsters to discover in stories of myth and folklore, thus a new obsession was born.
She went on to earn her B.A. in English Language and Literature from Grand Valley State University in 2010, heavily focusing on mythology, folklore, and gothic literature courses. She has been a guest writer on numerous blogs, and her stories have been featured in Writer’s Digest Magazine and Scribbler. She is currently working on her first novel, the first chapter of which appeared in Bardsy’s First Chapters Anthology.
When not writing, Kimberly travels to dark and ominous locations all over the world, researching and collecting inspiration for her upcoming podcast, The Twilight Traveler, slated to be released in May 2025.
